International Ocean Film Festival (postponed)

Seacology returns to the International Ocean Film Festival this year. Come see independent ocean-related films from all over the world that cover everything from ocean adventure, science, and marine life to sports and coastal cultures. The festival has been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We will share the new dates when they are announced.

2020 Seacology Prize Ceremony

On his native Wasini Island, Omar Abdallah Juma brought together skeptical members of the fishing community, government institutions, NGOs, and other stakeholders to create a successful marine reserve. His efforts provided the blueprint for other locally managed protected areas along the Kenyan coast, promoting sustainable fisheries and helping to preserve the area's threatened biodiversity. After the Fires: Conserving Australia’s Green Carpenter Bee on Kangaroo Island (webinar)

Join our local partner, the Wheen Bee Foundation, for an update on our crowdfunded project to save Australia's green carpenter bee. During the spring of 2020, Seacology donors raised enough to provide artificial nesting materials for four years for these unique pollinators, who lost their natural habitat in Australia's devastating bushfires.
