Join Seacology as we explore one of the South Pacific’s most beautiful and inviting destinations! Our latest trip to Fiji brings us to the idyllic island of Taveuni for a week combining excitement, tranquility, and a unique opportunity to see Seacology’s win-win approach to environmental stewardship in action.
Formed by a dormant volcano, Taveuni is home to lush forests, picturesque waterfalls, a high-altitude crater lake, and colorful species of birds and flowers found nowhere else in the world. Geared toward—but not exclusively for—divers and snorkelers, our trip will also provide easy access to diverse, world-class underwater destinations along the Rainbow Reef, famous for its dazzling variety of vibrant soft corals. Further out, we might spot majestic humpback whales on their annual migration!
Our expedition also includes the first opportunity to visit our new project on neighboring Qamea Island, where Seacology is helping the local people protect their local environment and rebuild after a devastating natural disaster.

Our accommodations
The Taveuni Dive Resort is a picturesque, exclusive home away from home offering award-winning service for divers and non-divers alike. With a five-star rating on Tripadvisor, the resort offers comfortable, spacious bures surrounded by dense foliage, traditional Fijian and
international cuisine, and a first-on-the-island commitment to sustainability. Designed by divers, with divers in mind, the resort houses a fully equipped scuba center staffed by expert local guides. Optional guided hikes, farm tours, and other activities around the island are available to book at the front desk.
The resort's Salty Fox Bar & Grill offers both traditional Fijian and Western dining options and can accommodate many dietary preferences.
The resort's spacious bures offer comfort and privacy with views of the surrounding forest or ocean.
The resort's dive center has four boats and expert guides to bring our guests to some of the South Pacific's most breathtaking underwater sites.

Seacology project visit: Dreketi Village
On the sparsely populated island of Qamea, just a short boat ride east of Taveuni, Seacology has been working with the people of Dreketi Village to protect fragile habitats, both on land and in the sea.
A classic Seacology win-win project, our partnership with the village is helping Dreketi’s people finally rebuild after a landslide destroyed several buildings in 2016. After a decade of frustration trying to secure the resources to replace their lost infrastructure, the remote community reached out to Seacology, and within months construction of a new meeting hall and kindergarten was well underway. In exchange for this life-changing investment in the future of the community, Dreketi’s people have committed to the protection of 30 acres of forest and five acres of sensitive marine habitat for the next two decades.
Our guests will attend the official dedication of the new buildings, which is sure to be a moving, festive celebration of the kind that Fiji is world-famous for!
Seacology's funding enabled the community to finish replacing structures lost in a landslide in 2016.
Dreketi's new community center will be the most durable building in the village, offering shelter from intense tropical storms.

A $500 nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your place. The final balance will be due by March 15, 2027.
Price includes: seven nights accommodations (ocean or garden view rooms), all meals (fully cooked breakfast, two-course lunch, and three-course dinner), WIFI access (bar & restaurant only), roundtrip airport transfers and all hotel taxes, project site visit, donation to Seacology. Diver rates include five days of two-tank morning boat diving, tanks, and weights.
