Seacology Expedition to Croatia

September 2-11, 2026

€5,956

Join Seacology on our first-ever trip to the Adriatic! Walk back in time through the medieval city centers of Dubrovnik and Split, hike among majestic waterfalls, dip over the border into Bosnia, and meet with dedicated local conservationists who are working to protect Croatia’s beautiful islands for future generations.

Hosted in partnership with local travel experts Adriatic Allure, this journey promises to be an unforgettable experience for first-timers and returning travelers alike. The trip is limited to 10 guests, so we encourage you to save your spot as soon as possible.

Our destinations

Dubrovnik

Our journey begins in one of the region’s most iconic cities, made world-famous in films and Game of Thrones. Climb the old city’s high walls for panoramic views of the bustling streets and blue sea, visit museums, and explore the steep cliffs and secluded coves of the Dalmatian coastline.

Elaphiti Islands

Take a break from the city on a full-day private boat tour that will bring us to three sparsely populated islands just outside of Dubrovnik. Stretch out on quiet beaches, or grab a mask and snorkel to see what you can spot in Croatia’s famously clear waters.

Peljesac peninsula

A world-renowned culinary destination, this is the center of Croatia’s oyster and mussel production, home to the world’s oldest active saltworks and several renowned wineries. Our tour includes oyster and wine sampling in Mali Ston, the oyster capital of Croatia.

Hvar Island

With more than 260 days of sunshine a year, Hvar is the perfect place to close out the summer. Frequently listed as one of the top 10 island destinations in the world, Hvar boasts a welcoming Mediterranean culture, unforgettable views within walking distance of the town center, and authentic local cuisine.

Vis and the Blue Cave

Dive into the sapphire waters of one of Croatia’s most famous destinations, the Blue Cave of Biševo Island. This otherworldly site is just a short boat ride from Vis, renowned for its archaeological treasures and winemaking tradition stretching back millenia.

Split

From Diocletian’s Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) to a vibrant culinary scene and nightlife, Split is the perfect mix of old and new. Located on Croatia’s central coast, the city offers convenient access to our final two destinations.

Mostar

We will cross the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina to explore the cultural capital of Mostar and see its iconic old bridge, cobblestone streets, and lively Kujundžiluk Bazaar. The city was shaped by the confluence of central European and Ottoman culture over the course of centuries. On the way back to Croatia we’ll make a stop at beautiful Kravice Falls.

Krka National Park

On our last full day together, we will explore one of Croatia’s most stunning natural treasures, Krka National Park. Several trails of varying distance and difficulty take you through cascading waterfalls, serene pools, and vibrant foliage. The park also contains several cultural and historical landmarks, including a 15th-century monastery set on a small island in the Krka River.

Seacology in Croatia

In 2025, Seacology expanded our global conservation work to Croatia, helping island communities preserve vital ecosystems and foster sustainability. As the number of tourists visiting Croatia and its islands continues to break records, our investments in the protection of the country’s fragile island ecosystems will help ensure a bright environmental future for this beautiful and unique part of the world.

Our guests will meet with the leaders of a current or proposed Seacology project, to see how our locally driven approach to conservation takes shape.
