Last year we launched 28 new conservation partnerships, including our first ever in Turkey and New Zealand. Our nationwide initiative to protect the Dominican Republic’s mangroves mobilized more communities to safeguard their threatened wetlands. We awarded the Seacology Prize to a local leader who has dedicated his life to preserving his island’s marine environment and unique history.
