Chile
2014
In 2014, a Seacology group took a tour through Chile’s spectrum of climates and cultures. They spent several days on Rapa Nui (Easter Island), getting up close to its ancient and mysterious stone figures. After that, they explored the world-renowned valleys and glaciers of Patagonia. Stopping at our project at Quinchao Island in Chile, travelers saw first-hand how a new coastal reserve is helping to protect thousands of endangered shorebirds. And speaking of birds, the group was charmed by Humboldt penguins!
