6-9 p.m.
The David Brower Center, 2150 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94704

Each year, Seacology honors an islander for exceptional achievement in preserving the environment and culture of one of the world’s more than 10,000 islands.

Seacology will announce the identity of the 2017 Seacology Prize recipient—a conservation leader who has led many environmental campaigns and stood up to powerful corporate interests—on the day before the prize ceremony.

The prize comes with $10,000 and a trip to Berkeley for the award ceremony, which is free and open to the public. At the ceremony, guests can learn about Seacology’s work around the world, meet Seacology board members and staff, and hear from this year’s inspiring prize winner.

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine will be provided. Seating is very limited at the David Brower Center, so we recommend reserving your spot as soon as possible.
