Amanda comes to Seacology with a longstanding passion for the natural world and environmental preservation. A native of southern Florida, she grew up with a deep love for beaches, mangroves, and marine life. She graduated with a degree in Environmental Earth Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University in 2009 and has since worked in a variety of fields, including public health, sustainable food systems, and private education. She is thrilled to now be a part of a team who shares her passions for preservation and helping local communities. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys hiking, cooking, sewing, vegetable gardening, and playing the piano and hammered dulcimer.
