In June 2002, a Seacology expedition visited Nadogo and Waisomo Villages, Fiji. Here, Seacology executive director Duane Silverstein and board member Charles Murphy III unveil the plaque on the newly-constructed community center at Waisomo Village. The plaque reads, "Donated by Seacology in appreciation of the great sacrifice of the people of Waisomo Village to preserve their coral reef. Officially opened on the 25th June 2002." |
