SAMOA, Tafua peninsula, Savai'i Island - 1995
Tafua Samoa Rainforest Preserve

The Tafua peninsula on the Samoan island of Savai'i is home to one of the most precious rainforests in the South Pacific. Together with Seacology, the local conservation organization Fa'asao Savai'i and village chiefs and orators have worked to protect 20,000 acres of pristine rainforest by creating a preserve similar to that at Falealupo.
